Avera Health names temporary CEO

Avera Health has named Julie Lautt as the new temporary CEO.

Lautt previously occupied the position of the company’s lead financial officer since 2020.

Avera’s announcement comes three months after the last CEO, Bob Sutton, stepped down for medical reasons.

“I look forward to working closely with our talented senior leadership team to continue to ensure our mission and dedication to Avera communities remains strong during this period of change,” said Lautt in a press release.

Officials say the search for a permanent CEO is ongoing.

Avera has over 300 hundred locations in communities across South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and Nebraska.
