New behavioral health care facility breaking ground in Yankton

For many South Dakotans in need of behavioral health care, the services they need may be right in their home community.

Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services will break ground on a new facility next week. Those living in and around Yankton will soon have increased access. That's thanks to a number of grants, fundraising and community support.

Nikki Gronli is the South Dakota state director for USDA Rural Development.

Tom Stanage, Ph.D., is a psychologist is from Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health.

They join In the Moment to discuss the mental health care crisis and how this facility may help expand services in rural South Dakota.
