Clocking in five or six hours of sleep a night isn't enough for teens.

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

A study published in Preventing Chronic Disease explored how sleep deprivation in high school students affected their mental health and academic performance during the pandemic.

Sarah Sliwa, Ph.D., is one of the paper's authors. She joins Lori Walsh to discuss the study and possible solutions that go beyond implementing a bedtime.
