Is it possible to end child sexual abuse in South Dakota? The Center for the Prevention of Childhood Maltreatment has a plan. Leaders of the organization are under no illusions about the complexity of the problem. But they also know the power of education, infrastructure, and response services.   • To report child abuse or neglect call 1-877-244-0864.
  • Department of Social Services intake specialists are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • If reporting before 8 a.m., after 5 p.m., on the weekends or during a holiday, please contact local law enforcement.
  • Always call 911 if a child is in immediate danger!
