As the self-described “world’s first stand-up economist,” Yoram Baumanhas made a career out of economics humor, performing his act in comedy clubs, professional conferences and colleges. He's also the co-author of three cartoon textbooks: The Cartoon Introduction to Microeconomics, The Cartoon Introduction to Macroeconomics and The Cartoon Introduction to Climate Change.
Along with spreading joy to the world through economics comedy, Bauman says he’s committed to using the tools of economics and the power of capitalism to protect the environment. This evening at the University of South Dakota, Bauman presents “Comedy, Carbon Taxes, and Climate Change: How Economics Can Save the World.”
He joined Dakota Midday and discussed what's so funny about economics and how carbon taxes could benefit both the environment and economy.
