Presentation Sisters and Aberdeen seal deal to preserve campus

The City of Aberdeen will assume control of parts of the former Presentation College campus to keep them open to the public.

This comes after the college was forced to close its doors earlier this year on the back of longstanding financial and enrollment issues.

The Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Aberdeen City Council formalized the partnership at this week’s council meeting.

The properties, which include the dome, Strode Center, soccer field, and an undeveloped parcel of land, will be under the management of Aberdeen Parks and Rec.
