Two South Dakota schools, Kadoka and Longfellow elementaries, have been recognized for their student’s performances and growth.
Kadoka and Longfellow earned the National Elementary and Secondary Schools Act Distinguished Schools recognition for outstanding academic achievement and excellence in serving special student populations.
Factors considered include attendance rates and student assessment results.
Representatives from the schools will be recognized at the National ESEA conference in Portland Oregon in February.
