Dakota Life has announced the South Dakota towns that will be featured in its 25th anniversary season. SDPB's flagship "magazine" television show will celebrate its silver anniversary with a renewed focus on sharing South Dakota's rural stories with a special emphasis on individual towns in each episode, a framework it created and expanded upon the previous two years.
"We have built a model where we create relationships within each town and have the residents bring us the stories important to them," shared Bran Van Osdel, Director of Entertainment for SDPB. "It's inspiring to visit with people from each of these towns and hear the passion and excitement they have for where they live. We hope to share that excitement with our television viewers."
The towns that will be featured in the 2022-2023 season of Dakota Life are:
- Leola
- Sisseton
- Mission
- Parkston
- Miller
- Belle Fourche
- Lead
- Buffalo
- Howard
The new season of Dakota Life will begin production this summer and the first episode will air Thursday, September 8 with a new episode airing each month thereafter.
