A benefit is being held this weekend for a former Black Hills law enforcement officer who fell in the line of duty.

Kaitlin Leising was shot and killed in Wisconsin earlier this month after responding to a vehicle stuck in a ditch. She was serving with the St. Croix County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Department at the time.

Prior to moving to Wisconsin, Leising was a deputy with the Pennington County Sheriff's Office for two years.

On Saturday, May 20, a benefit in support of Leising is being held at the Keystone Fire Station. It begins with a potluck at 5 p.m. MT followed by bingo at 6 p.m. There will also be a silent auction.

More details are available on the Pennington County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
