One person is dead after a shooting in a Rapid City apartment.

Police said they received reports of shots fired at the northside apartment complex Saturday night.

Officers found a man in his 20s at the scene with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Authorities identified suspects and searched two nearby residences, according to a press release from the Rapid City Police Department. There’s no word on any arrests.

Police say the victim and suspects knew each other, and there’s no threat to the public.
