This summer, the Red Cloud Indian Art Show—the largest and longest-running Native art exhibition of its kind—will celebrate its 50th anniversary on the Pine Ridge Reservation. The show is one of only a few Native art exhibitions held in an indigenous community. Over the years, hundreds of artists from tribal nations across North America have shared their work through the show, in categories ranging from painting and photography to beadwork and quillwork. Visit the exhibition website at www.redcloudart.show. The Heritage Center at Red Cloud Indian School hosts the show for ten weeks each summer. All artwork in the show is for sale, and proceeds support individual artists as well as The Heritage Center’s economic development and arts education work.
