Assorted colors of heavy card stock
Scissors
Mini clothespins
Paint pen or marker
Yarn or twine
Old book (used or found at thrift store)
Directions
1 Tear several pages from the inside of the book - you will need about 2 pages per book for the garland.
2 With your scissors, cut your solid, heavy card stock into 6" x 5" squares.
3 Trim the torn edge of the book pages with your scissors so that they are 5" x 4.25" squares.
4 Fold the 4.25" side of the book pages in half.
5 Fold the 5" side of the card stock square in half.
6 With your marker or paint pen, add a fun design and title to the front of your card stock paper book cover.
7 Set the folded book pages inside the card stock book cover. Clip the book to a piece of yarn or twine, strung over your party table.
8 Attach as many 'books' as you need to add color and whimsy to your book-themed birthday party!
