Lt. Governor Larry Rhoden and South Dakota Trade are leading a group of state leaders in biotech, food, and defense exports on a trade mission to East Asia.

The group represents six companies, three industry associations, and a leadership team from South Dakota State University. The South Dakota delegation will conduct business-to-business matchmaking meetings at a trade show in Taipei.

Rhoden said Japan and Taiwan are important markets for South Dakota and are key allies to the United States.

“Our delegation represents some of our state’s most promising industries. We have great biotechnology, food, and manufacturing opportunities all happening right here in South Dakota," said Rhoden.

The trade show offers meetings in bio/pharmatech, food, foodtech, and packing at the Taiwan Horcea.

A list of individuals apart of the delegation can be found here.
