The Sioux Falls Area Metro on-demand, app-based transit program is expanding its availability.

Beginning Monday, April 15, the transit company Via will offer services every weekday in southeast Sioux Falls. City officials said this creates a transit opportunity for more than 40,000 citizens.

Via took over SAM’s operations in January.

The expansion is a partnership between Via, SAM and the city of Sioux Falls.

Riders can book a ride through the new “SAM Transit” app by downloading the app in either the Apple App Store or Google Play.
