Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen is traveling to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota next week to learn about efforts the tribe is making in economic development.
The visit is scheduled for Tuesday. According to a news release, Yellen plans to highlight the disproportionate impact the pandemic has had on tribal communities and how American Rescue Plan money is supporting their recovery. She will tour and learn about investments the Rosebud Sioux Tribe is making to promote affordable housing and economic development.
