Kary Janousek combines art, history and chemistry to create photos of the present in the style of the past. She's a North Dakota photographer who uses historic wet plate collodion.
Janousek shares the history and chemistry of her artwork. Plus, we learn how she works to bring the art form forward and how she hopes future artists will build on her work.
Her "History on the Lawn" event is Friday, June 14 at the Historic Adams House in Deadwood. It will include public demonstrations.
