Beverly Warne passed away in Rapid City on Sunday, April 14. She was a nurse, advocate, mentor and elder.
Her impacts on her community cannot be overstated. She served on the boards of organizations like Remembering the Children, He Sapa Otipi and the Elders Council.
She also founded the South Dakota State University Native American Nursing Education Center where she closely mentored all students in the program.
