The South Dakota Hall of Fame invites the public to nominate a champion of South Dakota to be included in the pool of candidates being considered for the Class of 2024.

Good candidates are those who have made an impact in their community, state, and beyond, according a press release from the Hall of Fame. Nomination requirements and materials can be found here.

“Selecting our Inductees and honoring them by preserving their stories is at the core of what our organization does,” said South Dakota Hall of Fame CEO Laurie Becvar.

Becvar said this year they’re adding free inductee nomination seminars to provide guidance on the nomination process.

Those interested can attend the seminar in-person or online via Zoom. The first one starts at 3 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Mountain on Nov. 20. The second starts at 11 a.m. Central/10 a.m. Mountain on Jan. 19.

Attendees can register for the November seminar here and for the January seminar here.

The nomination period closes Feb. 1, 2024.
