Bob Marshall: Saving natural spaces for the future

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

We continue our conversation about the Israel-Hamas war with someone who may be an unexpected voice. Linda Elovitz Marshall is the author of several children's books, including "Bob Marshall: Defender of the Wilderness."

Bob Marshall was born in 1901 New York. He encountered a lot of antisemitism in his life and sought to overcome it by spending time in nature.

Linda Elovitz Marshall joins In the Moment to discuss Marshall's life, antisemitism in the early 1900s and the importance of saving natural spaces for future generations.

"Bob Marshall" is published by the South Dakota Historical Society Press, written by Linda Elovitz Marshall and illustrated by Jeanne Bowman.
