Volunteers support vulnerable children in Sioux Falls

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Volunteer Month, In the Moment dives into how volunteers can change lives in a community, particularly by advocating for children.

Amy Carter is the operations director for Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety (formerly Children's Inn) and Bright Start. Susie Ryks is the vice president of community development at the Helpline Center. Stacey Tieszen is executive director at Sioux Falls CASA.

The three leaders join Lori Walsh to discuss how their organizations depend on volunteers. They also put out the call for passionate people to join their causes.
