'Enlightenment Machine' exhibit offers art that challenges, perplexes, and interacts with the viewer

The interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public affairs show, In the Moment with Lori Walsh.

Fresh Produce boasts the energy and vibrancy you'd expect in a business that helps clients meet challenges with creative solutions. The agency also has an art gallery. That gallery could serve as a model for businesses across the state wanting to incorporate art and connectivity. To think like that, you might have to tolerate being a bit ... uncomfortable. For Fresh Produce, that's kind of the point.

Liz Heeren is the director and artist-in-residence for Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce. "In the Moment" host Lori Walsh stopped by to visit with Heeren as she worked on installing their next exhibition. "Enlightenment Machine" opens Friday, August 12. It's an exploration of color, touch, and motion.

Listen in as Heeren explains how art and community can transform a place of creative business.
