This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

Meet Me @ the Altar is offering a new face to pop-punk. The three young artists met online and collectively decided what the genre needed was their voices, their music, and their point of view.

In short order, Rolling Stone had singled them out as rising stars, calling them one of the most exiting new acts to watch. Their first EP was "Changing States." In March, they dropped the EP "Model Citizen." Their song "Garden" graced NPR's2020 best song list.

Meet Me @ The Altar performs July 9th at Sioux Fall's Levitt Shell as part of the city's Innoskate festival. Later this month, they'll head to Chicago for LOLLAPALOOZA.

Vocalist Edith Johnson joins Lori Walsh on In the Moment to talk about what brought the band together, and her hopes for the future of pop-punk.
