This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

An exhibition entitled "the Gift" is open now at the South Dakota Art Museum in Brookings. It tells the traditional Lakotan Narrative of the White Buffalo woman, who presented a sacred pipe to the Itazipco Oyate.

Through audio recordings, images, and poetry, the Gift explores the story through abstraction and realism, grandeur and intimacy.

Curator Dr. Craig Howe joins Lori Walsh on In the Moment to talk about how the Gift brings the pieces together.
