South Dakota photographer Aaron Packard has earned a gold ADDY Award.

The American Advertising award is one of the most prestigious honors in advertising and photography. Its the largest advertising competition in the United States.

District 8 includes Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Packard's Gold ADDY has earned him a ticket to advance to the national competition.

The photos show dramatic images of a bullet logged in ballistics gel. They were created with Rapid City advertising agency "Jackalope" for Black Hills Ammunition's brand campaign.

Packard joins Lori Walsh on In the Moment to discuss the technical background of his artistic work.
