An art show in Sioux Falls is showcasing the work of people with disabilities. DakotAbilites has teamed up with artist Edward Eich to present a show at Van Art studios.

Eich created a "spin machine" that helps DakotAbilities participants create individual pieces of art. The machine is constructed using a bicycle wheel mounted sideways.

Director of Development Jennifer Smith-Hoesing spoke with Megan Feighery on In the Moment. Smith-Hoesing says opportunities like these are meaningful for DakotAbilites members because it shows they are more than their disability.

The DakotAbilites art show opens 5 pm Friday, April 1, at Van Art Studio in Sioux Falls. Donations will benefit DakotAbilites.
