Craig Howe’s New Film, "Takuwe"

In The Moment … October 23, 2020 Show 927 Hour 1

Craig Howe is the driving force behind the exhibit called "Takuwe". The exhibit is now closed, but filmmaker Dalton Coffey has preserved the educational art exhibit in a video representation sharing the same name.

Takuwe, the film, was released on Native American Day. It'll be one of the highlights of next week's virtual South Dakota State Arts Conference along with an in-depth presentation from Craig Howe on Friday, October 30, at 3:30 p.m.

Craig Howe is the Director for American Indian Research and Native Studies. We're pleased to welcome him back to In The Moment to hear more about Takuwe's transition to film.

Arts, literature, and music reporting on SDPB is supported by the Northern State University School of Fine Arts. More information available at northern.edu
