Future Of Faith: George Tsakiridis

George Tsakiridis

In The Moment ... January 30, 2020 Show 744 Hour 2

We live in an age where science has answered so many big questions that many struggle to reconcile faith and science. Our next guest says, "When we study science, it is not an absolute truth - just within the parameters of that experiment. When people make science the absolute ideal for all truth, they miss out on the broader idea of what it means to have something be true. Faith is rooted in the internal core of who we are as human beings. There is a reason we keep coming back to faith and religion."

"In the Moment" continues its conversation about the "Future of Faith" in South Dakota today with George Tsakiridis. He is a lecturer in philosophy and religion in the School of American and Global Studies at South Dakota State University.

George earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State before pursuing theology in graduate school, first at the Dallas Theological Seminary and then at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, where he earned his doctorate in religion and science.

Chris is a producer for In the Moment.
