www.naterecording.com

Singer/songwriter Jami Lynn (guitar and banj0) began a collaboration with Dalton Coffey (dobro) and Andrew Reinartz (bass) last fall.  The fruits of their labor is a ten track CD of original music called "Fall Is a Good Time to Die."  The CD is set for release at a pair of concerts: April 10 at the Matthews Opera House in Spearfish and April 11 at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls.  "Fall Is a Good Time to Die" was recorded at Dalton Coffey's Sioux Falls studio.  It was mixed in Nashville by Ed Faris, an artist who is know for his work with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.  The trio of Lynn, Coffey and Reinartz performed on the Dakota State University campus in Madison last October.

Madison based guitarist Chris Champion opened the show.  Champion, a music student of L.A.'s famous Guitar Institute of Technology and Arizona State University has played and tought for over 40 years.  He's very active in the Sioux Falls area music scene.  Influenced by Leo Kottke and Larry Carlton in his formative years, Champion eventually instructed jazz guitar at ASU.  His quartet ODD MAN OUT won the Phoenix New Times Best of Phoenix Award for Jazz Groups in 1997.

Jami Lynn is scheduled to appear on SDPB Radio's Dakota Midday with Karl Gehrke on April 9 at 12:40 p.m. CT/11:40 a.m. MT.  She'll play live from SDPB Radio's Rapid City studio.
