StoryCorps: Philip and James Sietstra

Since 2003, StoryCorps has traveled the country recording conversations between friends and family. In 2007, the StoryCorps traveling booth stopped in Sioux Falls. Philip Sietstra was interviewed by his son James and shared some memories of growing up on a farm in northwest Iowa. Today Philip Sietstra is a Doctor of Optometry in Sioux Falls. He told his son about early mornings riding his horse, Spangle, with his dog, Rusty, running alongside them. And the loss of childhood.
