SoDak Anime Convention In Rapid City

SoDak Con is an annual event dedicated to the appreciation of anime (Japanese animation), manga (Japanese comics), geek culture and other forms of Japanese culture. Convention programming consists of one main room dedicated to all major events while other smaller rooms host minor events such as fan-run panels and table-top-gaming. The major events consist of cosplay (costume) competition, anime music video contest, fashion show and special guests and an art contest. There is also a dealers room where vendors come to offer related merchandise, and an artists alley where artists offer their handcrafted wares and artwork for sale.
