"Running Wild: The Life Of Dayton O. Hyde"

Suzanne Mitchell, director of "Running Wild: The Life of Dayton O. Hyde," visited about the documentary during the Black Hills Film Festival in Hill City.  The film screens Friday night at the Hill City High School.  It explores the compelling life of Dayton O. Hyde, a cowboy conservationist and South Dakota resident who has dedicated his life to protecting wild horses, land and water.  "Running Wild" features spectacular footage of wild horses, Hyde's Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary in Hot Springs and his Yamsi Ranch in Oregon.  Steve Poltz, who performed music for the film, also joined Dakota Midday.  Poltz is a founding member of The Rugburns, an American indie/folk band.
