Noem: Rounds is 'a good man,' disagrees with Trump's 'jerk' comment

Gov. Kristi Noem is weighing in on a comment former President Trump made about U.S. Senator Mike Rounds.

After Rounds recently said the outcome of the 2020 presidential race was correct, the former president called the senator a 'jerk.'

Former President Trump continues to say without evidence, the 2020 presidential election was rigged.

Gov. Noem says she disagrees with Trump's assessment.

“We all know that we have times that we don’t’ like what President Trump says and what he’s—language he’s used,” Noem says. “I know Mike Rounds personally. He is not a jerk. He is a good man.”

Noem would not say whether she thinks the 2020 election was fair. Many high-profile Republicans still question the results.

Noem says there were discrepancies between states. The governor acknowledged Joe Biden as president of the United States.
