Who's making a difference in your community? Tell us about them

Jess Eng/NPR

Does it feel like the only news and stories you hear are about all the things that are wrong with our world and not enough about the things that are right?

At NPR, we understand that feeling, and we want to make sure to dedicate time and space to intentionally focus on the positive, on 'what's working'.

We know such things are happening in communities all around the country and yet, we've had so much news — a pandemic, a planet in crisis, political divisions, police shootings and protests — that while important does not tell the whole story of what's going on in our world. So, we're asking YOU to help us balance the overload of relentlessly difficult news with the good stuff.

We want to hear your stories about the things that are getting done in your community, problems that are being solved. Tell us about the people who, despite hard times and ongoing struggles, are doing amazing stuff with humor, generosity and selflessness of the human spirit; who are bridging the divide and bringing people together.

Not all of these stories will spring from the happiest of places, but we also know that to tell the more complex and truthful human story, we have to hear about the resilience and hope that keeps humanity motoring along, inspiring others as it does.

Please fill out the form below if you have a story you would like to share with us. A producer or reporter may follow up with you.

Your submission will be governed by our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. As the Privacy Policy says, we want you to be aware that there may be circumstances in which the exemptions provided under law for journalistic activities or freedom of expression may override privacy rights you might otherwise have.
