This is a pretty big event and there have been a few announcements that have made it even bigger. SDPB's Nate Wek was on the course recently and joins us today to talk about his experience.

He shared a heartwarming story about an amateur baseball player from Dell Rapids who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Dell Rapids did not make the state tournament, but Hartford/Humbolt team has picked him up to give him an opportunity to keep playing in what will be his final year.

Sand green courses are a growing trend all over South Dakota. Instead of putting on grass, you putt on sand. This trend is not completely unknown to SD as there a decent amount of courses in the state that have adopted the sand green philosophy.
