Leslie Morrow is the state director for the Alzheimer's Association. We talk with her about lifting the stigma of Alzheimer’s and how and when to seek screening.

20th Century Racing

Brittney Olsen has always had a passion for racing. She remembers when her father took her to Wild Water West in Sioux Falls around the age of five to drive kid's go-carts. "I would do anything possible to get in first place," she says. "I would cut people off and do all these strange maneuvers just to get around them. A lot of my father's friends said, ‘I think you’ve got a racer on your hands.’"

Avera Race Against Breast Cancer

Missy Keiper is organizing the 25th annual Avera Race Against Breast Cancer which is scheduled for May 11 in Sioux Falls.  She was joined by Dr. Jodi Scott, a long time runner with a family history of breast cancer.  They discussed the race, exercise and risk factor modification for breast cancer.

National Finals Rodeo

Steer wrestler Todd Suhn of Hermosa and barrel racer Nikki Steffes of Vale are among six South Dakota contestants participating in the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas beginning Thursday.  This is Suhn's 16th appearance at the WNFR.  Steffes, a two-time National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association women's all-around champion, has qualified for her first trip to the WNFR.
