U.S. Justice Sues S.D. DSS For Discriminatory Hiring Practices Against Native Applicants

The U.S. Department of Justice is suing the South Dakota Department of Social Services for discriminatory hiring practices. The complaint was filed Tuesday, Nov. 3, in federal court in Rapid City. The Justice Department claims that DSS passes over qualified Native applicants for higher-paying jobs and hires less-qualified non-Indians.
