Todo Mundo - Part 1

May 10, 2016

Todo Mundo, which translates to "All the World," was voted Best World Music at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards.  Todo Mundo blends the flavors of Spanish Rumba, Reggae, Brazilian, Balkan and Middle Eastern styles into an irresistible groove that has been moving dance floors and connecting with audiences across the world since 2009.  Todo Mundo is led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Santiago Orozco, a native of Columbia.  The band's union came about by a leap of faith by Orozco.  Guided by a song he heard titled "I Wanna Go to San Diego," Orozco traveled to the city seven years ago and began playing at street fairs and farmers' markets.  Todo Mundo, which also includes Melissa Barrison on violin and vocals and Matt Bozzone on drums, cajon and percussion, played at the Matthews Opera House in Spearfish on October 3, 2015.  This week's No Cover, No Minimum Radio is the first half of that show.  It is hosted, written and produced by SDPB Radio intern Gina Mairose!
