SD Supreme Court Rules On Church Sex Abuse Cases

The South Dakota Supreme Court has ruled in favor of two plaintiffs who say there were sexually abused as children while attending boarding school decades ago at the Saint Francis Mission.

The court also upheld the dismissal of a number of separate sex abuse cases against church organizations.

During the discovery process in the initial court proceedings a set of letters emerged that detailed alleged sexual abuse at the Saint Francis Mission during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
