Red Wanting Blue

"Hard working band makes good," to appropriate a line from Almost Famous!  It may have described Stillwater, but it works equally well for Red Wanting Blue, the enduring rock and roll act from Columbus, Ohio.  The band's following has grown over nine albums and 17 years of hard touring.  A three-record deal with Fanatic Records, signed in 2010, relieved the band of some of the mundane business activities while allowing them to remain fiercely independent and true to their craft.  Last year, Red Wanting Blue appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, VH1 and NPR.  Their songs, sung by Scott Terry, are powerfully backed by guitarists Greg Rahm and Eric Hall, bass player Mark McCullough and drummer Dean Anshutz.  Red Wanting Blue played at Latitude 44 in Sioux Falls on October 5, 2013, during the band's "The Dime Store Circus Tour."  Enjoy that show on this week's No Cover, No Minimum Radio.
