Inge Auerbacher

In The Moment ... March 30, 2017 Show 061 Hour 1

Paige Carda is executive director of REACH Literacy. She joins us to talk about tonight’s Brewhaha celebration of literacy and storytelling.

Inge Auerbacher is an author, a chemist, and a Holocaust survivor. Born in Germany, she was sent to the Terezin concentration camp in Czechoslovakia when she was seven. Out of 15 thousand children, she was one of the one percent who lived to tell the story. Auerbacher tells her story all over the world, always including the stark reminder that hatred still exists and must be dealt with. As part of National Tolerance Week, she comes to Vermillion to speak at the University of South Dakota on Monday, April 3rd.
