Layne Putnam

17-year-old Layne Putnam, the daughter of fiddler Kenny Putnam, began writing songs at an early age. Her composition skills were recognized early in an elementary school creative program called Reflections when her song was chosen for a state finals competition. In the summer of 2011, she was selected from high school students nationwide to attend Grammy Camp held in Los Angeles, CA. Grammy Camp is a program offered by the Grammy Organization to teach music career skills to high school students. Last year she released her debut CD of original songs, "Better Than Me."
