The South Dakota State Football Team travels to Cheyney, Washignton this weekend—the Jackrabbits play a second-round playoff game against the Eagles of Eastern Washington University.
The Eagles won the Big Sky Conference championship this year, and have a 10-win, two-loss record. Athletic Director Bill Chaves says Eastern Washington Football is known for two things—a long track record of success, and a bright red playing surface at its football stadium.
Chaves says, "The red turf is fantastic. Here’s what I know about it—you know about it; so obviously, others around the country know where we play. And the temperature may be a little bit warm outside, but it’s always hot inside the Inferno.”
The Jackrabbits and Eagles play Saturday afternoon at 3 P-M Central Time. S-D-S-U advanced with a win at Northern Arizona last weekend—Eastern Washignton had a first-round bye.
