"Emotion And Politics"

The Political Science League at the University of South Dakota and the W.O. Farber Center for Civic Leadership host an address from Dr. Mark Fisher, M.D., entitled, "Emotion and Politics," at 4:00 p.m. Monday (10/7) at Farber Hall in Old Main. Fisher, a professor of neurology, anatomy and neurobiology, political science, and pathology and laboratory medicine at the University of California, Irvine, received his M.A. from USD in 1972. At UCI, he served as chair of the department of neurology from 1998 to 2006, established the UCI Stroke Center and led the UCI Department of Neurology into the top 10 for NIH research funding for neurology departments nationwide. To date, his stroke research has received more than 25 years of funding from NIH, and he has been cited for more than a decade by Best Doctors of America and Castle Connolly's America's Top Doctors.
