The new, permanent "Sea of Grass" exhibit opening on Saturday, April 11 at the Timber Lake and Area Museum features the work of 24 artists illustrating the history of north central South Dakota. The majority of the paintings were created for the exhibit with subjects ranging from the age of the dinosaurs and Native American stories and legends to the coming of the railroad and homesteaders.
The exhibit opening features an art show and sale with an introduction of the artists at 2 pm. For details click here.
Kathy Nelson, president of the Timber Lake & Area Historical Society and Museum, and "Sea of Grass" project director Una Lee Howe joined Dakota Midday and discussed the exhibit.
