Body Found Near Pactola Identified

Black Hills authorities say they don’t suspect foul play in the death of a man whose body was found near Pactola Reservoir.

Captain Corey Brubakken with the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says officials got a tip from ATV riders, who found the body early last week.

"At which point, we did recover the badly decomposed skeletal human remains in the area of Kelly Gulch," Brubakken says. "As a result of that, we did have an autopsy that was performed on the skeletal remains which, basically, did not reveal any evidence of trauma."

Brubakken says Pennington County authorities don’t anticipate filing any charges.

Dental records identify the body as 53-year-old Reginald Henrickson. He last lived in Alaska and the Phillipines, but a report shows he was missing from Seattle in June 2012. Henrickson was originally from Minnesota.
