Bad Bad Hats

Bad Bad Hats

Kerry Alexander, Chris Hoge and Noah Boswell, the members of Bad Bad Hats, met while attending Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Alexander, originally from Alabama, had already been writing songs.  She's influenced by 90's singer/songwriters like Alanis Morisette, Kim Deal and Kate Hanley.  Alexander's youth and southern charm is infectious - as is her singing voice.  Bad Bad Hats released their first full-length album, Psychic Reader, last year on the Afternoon Records label.  Alexander's influences combine with those of Hoge and Boswell to give the listener a welcome taste of the band's exploration.  Buzzfeed listed Psychic Reader at the very top of their "69 Excellent Indie Records You May Have Missed in 2015" list - ahead of hugely successful projects from Courtney Barnett, Beach House, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Deerhunter and Of Montreal.

Bad Bad Hats played The Garage in Rapid City this spring.  It's this week's No Cover, No Minimum Radio concert!
